Overview

I'm currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Neural SIgnal Processing Laboratory  at UCLA, Medical School with Prof. Lakshminarayan Srinivasan. Next April I'll be joining the University of Arizona's Lunar and Planetary Laboratory with Prof. Christopher Hamilton as a Postdoctoral Scholar

Before, I finished my PhD in Iba Laboratory in The University of Tokyo on March 2013, with my main research area being Machine Learning applied to Bioinformatics and Synthetic Biology. Before that, I worked in my MsC also in the University of Tokyo with Hideki Hashimoto discovering users intentions using sensor fusion and Machine Learning. I also finished my B.Eng in Mexico's UNAM with Hector Benitez at the Institute of Mathematics and Applied Computer Sciences (IIMAS).

This is me in Kyoto Japan, March, 2012

Research interests: Machine learning, algorithms for text and web data processing, bioinformatics and synthetic biology

If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact me.

"Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."
